Arizona State’s Anthony Robles apointed to Obama Administration post

Anthony Robles, the Arizona State wrestler who won an NCAA individual wrestling championship despite being born with only one leg, has been named as a member of the President’s Council on Fitness, Sports and Nutrition in the Obama Administration.

The 25-year-old, who is also a motivational speaker, went 36-0 as a senior while winning the NCAA 125-pound title in 2011.

He also has a book, titled, “Unstoppable: From Underdog to Undefeated: How I Became a Champion,” and won the Jimmy V Perseverance Award at the 2011 ESPYs.

Robles, who was inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2012, has a B.A. from ASU.
