Carson Palmer wears hula skirt, bikini top on his birthday after losing bet

Matt Barkley and Drew Stanton have already lost quarterback competition bets this season. Finally, starter Carson Palmer found himself on the losing end — and on his birthday no less. The Arizona quarterback warmed up in preparation for the Cardinals’ NFC showdown against the Green Bay Packers wearing a hula skirt and a bikini top. Barkley, who is a healthy scratch for the game, seemed most pleased that his fellow USC Trojan was being punished this week.

“Unfortunately some people saw that, more people than I was expecting to,” Palmer said after the game.

This is the first known quarterback competition loss by Palmer this season but not his first lost bet. The USC product was forced to wear Stepfan Taylor’s Stanford jersey after the Cardinals dropped the Trojans in the Pac-12 Championship game.

Most recently, cornerback Patrick Peterson was forced to dress up like Elf. Still, we’ll say Palmer and Barkley have faced the worst punishments to this point.

“I lost the bet on Friday and I knew it was going to be bad,” Palmer said. “I mean, there are so many bad pictures of that circulating around right now. It’s only going to get worse.

“But, I’ll weather the storm and do everything I can to not lose next week.”

Here’s a video of Palmer’s quick warm-up at University of Phoenix Stadium.
