The injury-riddled Phoenix Suns roster will add more depth out of the D-League. Yahoo! Sports’ Shams Charania reported Thursday night that Phoenix will sign Austin Spurs swingman Orlando Johnson to a 10-day contract.

With the Spurs this season, the 6’5 Johnson is averaging 15.2 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game while shooting 44 percent overall and 49 percent from three-point range.

The 26-year-old from UC-Santa Barbara was the Sacramento Kings’ 36th pick in the 2012 draft and traded to the Pacers on draft night. There, he played 51 games as a rookie and in 12 minutes per outing averaged 4.0 points, 2.2 rebounds and 0.9 assists per game.

Johnson played the 2013-14 season with the Pacers before being traded back to the Kings. He has not been in the NBA since.

He played in Spain and the Philippines before joining the Austin Spurs in December of 2014, where he played under newly-appointed Suns interim head coach Earl Watson.
