For at least a couple of days — and even a few minutes Tuesday — there were rumors that Arizona basketball coach Sean Miller might have been on his way out of Tucson to return to his alma mater, Pitt.

In fact, a report from Rich Walsh of CBS Pittsburgh even went as far to say the job, left open when Jamie Dixon left to become the head coach at TCU, was offered to Miller. In the same report, it was stated that there was a “better than 50 percent chance” Miller would accept.

Well, you can lower that number to zero.

Miller just completed his seventh season at Arizona, having guided the Wildcats to a 25-9 record. The team finished fourth in the Pac-12 and was eliminated in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

In all, Miller has compiled a 188-61 record with the Wildcats. Arizona has won the Pac-12 three times and the Pac-12 Tournament once. Under his guidance UA has reached the Elite 8 three times and Sweet 16 once.
