D.J. Humphries’ dog is ready for football season to start

Most Cardinals fans are probably anxious to get the 2016 season underway.
And why wouldn’t they be? Though the 2015 campaign ended in disappointment, the Cardinals are set to return the core of a 13-win team that appears to have been substantially improved over the offseason.
If hopes were high last season, this next one figures to see a whole new level of anticipation and excitement.
One player who will likely factor into any success the Cardinals have will be tackle D.J. Humphries. The 24th pick in the 2015 draft, he was inactive for every game last season as the team “redshirted” him in preparation for a larger role this coming season.
By all accounts, Humphries worked hard during the season and improved to the point where the coaching staff is comfortable with the idea of him being their starting right tackle.
But that’s not what this story is about. No, this story is about how Humphries’ dog, Pierre, is just like every other Cardinals fan and counting down the days until the season begins.
At least, according to Humphries that’s the case. The only thing the dog needs to work on, according to the lineman, is getting a No. 74 jersey instead of the 00 he is wearing now.
