The Arizona Diamondbacks officially called up Archie Bradley from Triple-A Reno Sunday and sent down reliever Dominic Leone after last night’s game.
Bradley was announced Friday as the replacement for Shelby Miller in his next scheduled start on Sunday after Miller was put on the 15-day disabled list.
His last start was on May 9, when the 23-year-old allowed four runs and seven hits while walking three and striking out four in a 10-5 win over the Colorado Rockies.
This is Bradley’s third start of the season and first at Chase Field. He is coming off a recent run of hot starts in Reno that saw him win PCL pitcher of the week.
Leone, who was called up Friday, gave up three hits and one earned run in one-third of an inning against the Padres that same day. In his three appearances, Leone has a 12.00 ERA.
