ASU seniors set to play in all-star game

Jan 19, 2011, 4:01 PM | Updated: 4:02 pm

Two Arizona State University senior football players, Saia Falahola and Brandon Smith, will participate in the inaugural Eastham Energy College All-Star Game held Jan. 23 at Sun Devil Stadium.

Falahola, a fifth-year defensive tackle, finished the 2010 season with 13 tackles, including 2.5 tackles-for-loss in 12 games (eight starts). The converted offensive lineman collected 59 tackles in his 38 total games (23 starts).

Smith, a wide receiver, had only one catch for nine yards in the seven games he appeared in this season. He has totaled 10 receptions for 196 yards and two touchdowns in his 19 career games as a Sun Devil.

This event features athletes from all six BCS conferences, as well as a selection of players from smaller schools and conferences. ASU has two of the nine players participating from the Pac-10 conference.
