Kerry Taylor finds coach he likes, signs with Packers

Jul 26, 2011, 3:30 PM | Updated: 4:48 pm

Kerry Taylor blasted ASU coach Dennis Erickson not long ago, saying the team will never win as long as he is at the helm.

Well, he doesn’t have to worry about his Sun Devils any longer, as he broke the news that he signed with an NFL team.

Green Bay Packers here I come. Can’t wait to get there. Be on a plane in a few hours. Let’s get another Super Bowl.less than a minute ago via Echofon Favorite Retweet Reply

It’s hard to say what kind of impact — if any — Taylor will have for Mike McCarthy’s Packers. He had just 111 catches in four seasons in Tempe, and was not exactly thought to be a Sunday player.

That said, he has his chance now. If he can put together a strong training camp with the Super Bowl champions he has a chance to stick, and once he’s on the roster he’s just an injury or two away from getting a shot to make a name for himself due to his hands, not his mouth.
