Nine Sun Devils get midseason kudos from Phil Steele

With half the regular season already behind us, many
publications are issuing mid-season awards in college
football.

Phil Steele, who has published Phil Steele’s College
Football Preview since 1995, has put out his mid-season
All-Conference teams in every conference, including the
Pac-12.

Nine Arizona State Sun Devils got mention with senior
center Garth Gerhart, junior punt returner Jamal Miles and
junior linebacker Vontaze Burfict all landing on Steele’s All-Pac-12 First
Team
.

Junior running back Cameron Marshall and senior defensive
end Jamaar Jarrett were Second Team selections along with
Miles, who garnered this honor as a punt returner.

On the Third Team for Arizona State were sophomore
defensive tackle Will Sutton, senior linebacker Colin
Parker and sophomore cornerback Osahon Irabor.

Burfict also represents ASU as a Second Team All-American
choice
, while Miles, Gerhart and quarterback Brock
Osweiler all received honorable mention.
