Todd Heap says ASU’s record unacceptable

Nov 28, 2011, 10:59 PM | Updated: 11:12 pm

Count former Sun Devil Todd Heap as one of the many who
support the end of head coach Dennis Erickson’s tenure at
Arizona State.

“We expected more when he came in and we had a good year in
there, but even with that year we expected more than that,”
Heap told Arizona Sports 620’s Burns and Gambo.

Heap played three seasons at ASU from 1998-2000 and was a
team captain in his final season.

“We come into this season with expectations of bigger
things, of winning a Pac-12 championship,” Heap said, “and
when you go from those high expectations to very middle,
very average, middle-of-the-road team it really, at least
from an ASU player, former Sun Devil, ASU fan, it’s
unacceptable for sure.”

Erickson coached five seasons at ASU going 31-30 overall.
