The linebacking corps at Arizona State just got a boost
for
the near future.
Former Saguaro High School star Brock Haman is
transferring
from the University of Arkansas and will continue his
college football career at Arizona State.
Word broke in early May that Haman was considering a
transfer to ASU, but it became official Tuesday morning
when head coach Todd Graham announced that Haman has
signed an FAS (Financial Award Statement).
According to reports, Haman has applied for a hardship
waiver in the wake of the Bobby Petrino scandal, and could
be eligible to play the 2012 season for the Sun Devils.
The 6-foot-3, 230-pound Haman did not play last season at
Arkansas, instead redshirting after undergoing surgery on
his foot in the preseason.
At Saguaro, Haman was the 13th-ranked 2010 Arizona recruit
according to Rivals.com. He becomes the seventh former
Sabercat on the Sun Devil roster, joining Corey Adams,
Danny
Clark, D.J. Foster, Kody Koebensky, Jordan McDonald and
Max
Smith.
