ASU AD Patterson: Folks are starting to wake up

Sep 11, 2012, 11:18 PM | Updated: Sep 12, 2012, 1:05 am

Arizona State’s hire of Todd Graham last December was met with as much criticism as curiosity.

Because while Graham had experienced success as a head coach before, his departure from Pitt left a lot of people wondering what kind of guy he really was.

Since then all the coach has done is win people over left and right, constantly giving interviews, doing school functions and representing the ASU brand well.

And now he’s winning games.

“The people that are closest to the program, that have had a chance to meet Todd and his coaching staff, and see what he’s done and see what’s happened around here,” ASU Athletic Director Steve Patterson told Arizona Sports 620’s Doug and Wolf, “are very excited.”

Patterson said he gets positive phone calls and emails from fans on a daily basis.
