Carson Palmer is coming off a season as one of the NFL’s top quarterbacks, and the Cardinals look to him for another performance like his 13-3 campaign in 2015.

Pro Football Focus gave a nod to Palmer as a QB who can do damage for another season, even after his playoff faltering against the Carolina Panthers in the NFC Championship game.

Gordon McGuinness of Pro Football Focus compiled a list of the NFC’s 10 best offensive players, and Palmer just made the cut at No. 10.

Were it not for that performance in the NFC Championship game, Palmer would probably be higher on this list (…).

There’s every chance that the PFF 2015 regular-season MVP can produce back-to-back spectacular seasons. Excellent on intermediate passes, Palmer went 121-for-188 for 1,958 yards, 15 touchdowns, and five interceptions. Should the same player turn up in 2016, expect him to jump much higher up this list, especially if he can avoid breaking his own record for the worst-graded playoff game in PFF history.

Palmer was the last of four quarterbacks on the list, finishing behind Green Bay’s Aaron Rodgers (1), Carolina’s Cam Newton (5) and Seattle’s Russell Wilson (6).  Palmer threw for more yards than any of the four last season with 4,671, handily beating the next-best in the category, Russell Wilson, who had 4,024.

Palmer also led all NFL quarterbacks in Total QBR (82.15) last season.
