The Arizona State Sun Devil softball team, ranked fifth in the nation, hopes to bounce back when they host third ranked Oregon in their final series of the season. Last weekend in Tucson they dropped 2 of 3 to rival Arizona.
With those losses Oregon was able to win the conference title after they swept Oregon State.
ASU still has a chance to host postseason play at Farrington Stadium with a strong finish against the Ducks.
The Sun Devils, 43-9 overall and 14-7 in conference play, are on track for their ninth-straight postseason berth and 25th overall as a program. Clint Myers is wrapping up his eighth season at ASU.
During Myers’ time at the helm, ASU has hosted 28 postseason games, winning 25 of them.
First pitch against the Ducks is Thursday at 7 p.m., game two is Friday at 5 p.m. and the series finale on Saturday starts at 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday’s games will be televised on the Pac-12 Networks.
