Diamondbacks get ready for All-American Weekend

Independence Day is coming up, and the Arizona Diamondbacks are gearing up for an American-packed weekend.
Before Saturday night’s game against the San Francisco Giants, fans will have the chance to score the latest issue
of D-backs Insider that features America’s first baseman Paul Goldschmidt on the cover, as well as a Goldschmidt bobblehead.
Typically on Sunday’s, Chase Field has its “Bark in the Park”, a day where fans can bring their loyal friends to the ballpark. This Sunday, however, will be “Dog Days of Summer”, which will have one section of the stadium open for dogs. In addition, the team will have its usual “Kids Run the Bases” following the game.
And now for the big day. On America’s birthday, the national anthem will be performed by the Air Force’s Adrian Van Wyk and the team will give away a free house to a military member. Also during the pregame, individuals will take part in a citizenship ceremony, and closer Brad Ziegler will be honored as the Diamondbacks nominee for the Bob Feller Act of Valor Award for his work on military causes.
Monday night will conclude with postgame fireworks to celebrate Independence Day, and hopefully, a Diamondbacks victory.
