PHOENIX — The sponsorship deal between the Fiesta Bowl and Tostitos is coming to an end, according to a report.
SportsBusiness Journal reported that the chips company told ESPN it would no longer underwrite the BCS game. Tostitos had sponsored the game for 18 years. Another sponsor, Discover, which had provided support for the Orange Bowl, is also dropping out.
Those bowls are part of the rotation of bowl games that will determine the national college football champion.
The Fiesta Bowl is played at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale.
If “All The Tostitos” Musburger was referring to represented the amount of chips sold annually, it would be roughly 58.5 billion.
