Twitter reacts to Dennis Green passing away

Dennis Green lasted just three seasons in Arizona, as the coach compiled a 16-32 record from 2004 to 2006.
He was the coach when the Cardinals moved into University of Phoenix Stadium, and he played a role in building the Super Bowl team that included Larry Fitzgerald, Darnell Dockett, Karlos Dansby, Antrel Rolle and Antonio Smith, all of whom were drafted under Green’s watch.
Green also had his fair share of missteps, which is why he was ultimately let go with one year left on his contract.
Still, Green’s legacy goes far beyond what happened in the desert. He coached the Minnesota Vikings for 10 seasons, compiling a 97-62 record along with four NFC Central titles and eight playoff berths. He also spent time on the sidelines in college, guiding Dayton, Iowa and Stanford.
So, it’s safe to say Green impacted many different people along the way, and after he passed away Friday from cardiac arrest, many from around the sports world offered their respects on Twitter.

In an era in which minority hiring was shameful, Denny Green projected strength & confidence & consistently thrived. He will be missed.
