Carson Palmer fends off bee during TV interview

Pretty much everyone who talks about the Arizona Cardinals being a favorite to reach Super Bowl LI in Houston do so with the caveat that they must remain healthy.
Actually, they talk about how quarterback Carson Palmer cannot get injured.
It makes sense.
Dating back to Week 8 of the 2013 season, the Cardinals are 26-5 with Palmer under center compared to just 5-5 without him. He’s coming off a year in which he notched career highs for passing yards, touchdowns and QB rating, and no doubt his presence and continued play at an elite level is paramount for Arizona’s chances.
With that in mind, Cardinals fans can breath a sigh of relief after the veteran QB narrowly avoided injury-by-bee Friday while chatting with ESPN Friday from the American Century Championship Golf Tournament in Lake Tahoe.
The bee, which Palmer tried to swat away, was relentless in its pursuit of the quarterback.
“I’ve got a bee trying to get me,” Palmer said. “I’m trying to be cool, I’m trying to be cool, but I don’t like bees. I don’t like bees and spiders.
“Is it gone?”
At publishing time there was no word on the bee’s whereabouts or on whether or not the Seattle Seahawks have called with a contract offer.
