The Arizona Cardinals made a roster change just before they kick off their 2016 training camp.

The Cardinals announced Wednesday that they have signed linebacker Donald Butler and released linebacker Quayshawn Nealy.

Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Butler played six seasons for the San Diego Chargers, where he played 71 games and recorded 432 tackles, seven sacks, three interceptions, six fumble recoveries, four forced fumbles and 33 tackles for loss.

Last season, Butler started nine times and played in all 16 games. He collected 54 tackles, one fumble recovery, one forced fumble, a half-sack and five tackles for loss.

The 27-year-old was drafted by the Chargers in 2010 with the third round, 79th overall pick out of the University of Washington. He missed his rookie season with a torn Achilles injury.

Butler, who is listed at six-foot one-inch and 242 pounds, has recorded at least 50 tackles in each of the past five seasons. He was released by the Chargers on March 3.

Nealy never appeared in a game for the Cardinals.
