The Arizona Cardinals addressed one of the team’s biggest needs in acquiring pass rusher Chandler Jones from the New England Patriots last March. Arizona gave up offensive lineman Jonathan Cooper and a second-round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft.
New England may want to have a mulligan on that deal.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported that Cooper was carted off the practice field due to a foot injury.
#Patriots OL Jonathan Cooper, who was carted off today, is battling a plantar fascia issue, sources say. Not structural with his ankle.

Cooper hasn’t had the best luck with injuries. Since being drafted No. 7 overall by Arizona in the 2013 draft, Cooper has played in only 24 games, starting just 11 of them with the Cardinals.
