After three seasons with the Arizona Cardinals, it seems Daryn Colledge’s time in the desert may be up.

On Saturday, the 32-year-old offensive lineman sent out a “goodbye” tweet of sorts, wishing his team and its fan base good luck while thanking both parties for “an amazing opportunity.”

“Wanna thank you the fans and the Cardinals for an amazing opportunity,” Colledge wrote at 5:54 p.m. MDT on Saturday. “A great organization headed in the right direction. Wish ya the best,” he went on.

The NFL’s free agent negotiating period began earlier on Saturday.

With the release, the Cardinals will have cut $4.55 million from the books, sending them into free agency at approximately $20 million under the league salary cap.

Colledge had two years remaining on his contract.

The move has not yet been made official by the Cardinals.

As the evening progressed, Colledge began to elaborate via the same medium, reiterating his gratitude for the Cardinals fan base while offering the air of strength through the challenges that await.
