Incoming ASU freshman Jahii Carson has been added to the list of players participating at the 2011 USA Basketball Men’s U19 World Championship Team training camp.

Carson, a standout point guard from Mesa High School, will participate at the training camp from June 17-24 in hopes of being named to the 12-man team that will represent the country at the 2011 FIBA U19 World Championships in Latvia.

USA basketball will announce finalists for the team on June 19 and will announce the final roster on June 24, shortly before the team leaves for Europe.

Carson, rated a four star recruit by both Scout and Rivals, averaged 32 points per game during his senior season of high school.

His place in USA basketball is still to be determined, but no matter how the summer turns out, Carson will be a welcome addition to the Sun Devil community in the fall.
