Jadeveon Clowney became the first overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft when the Houstan Texans selected him Thursday night, and it won’t be long before he pays a trip to the Valley.
In fact, his first professional game will take place at University of Phoenix Stadium, when the Arizona Cardinals host the Texans in their preseason opener Aug. 9 at 5:30 p.m.
At South Carolina, Clowney recorded 130 total tackles, 47 tackles for a loss, 24 sacks and nine fumbles forced.
He was the SEC Player of the Year in 2012 and a first-team All-American in 2013.
