Marshawn Lynch’s football career was … odd.
But now that the sports media isn’t asking him mindless questions about not speaking about his job — just imagine if you were quizzed daily in the same way — he’s blossoming in front of the camera. Adventurer and TV host Bear Grylls welcomed the former Seattle Seahawks running back to his show set in, well, some wilderness.
The episode begins with Lynch hanging off a helicopter, which doesn’t exactly please him.
“If he has me dangling off another cliff I’m going to put paws on him,” Lynch tells the camera. “I’m going to put these hands on him. I don’t know how I’m going to do it yet because I know he’s fighting (stuff) out here in the wild.”
Later, Lynch sets up camp with Grylls.
“Oh, hold on, you ain’t got no blow-up tent?” Lynch says.
What else is in store? Grylls uses Beast Mode’s dreads as tinder for a fire.
“Bruh cut off one of my dreads to start a campfire and was juiced about it like, ‘Oh my God, that’s the best thing since sliced bread,'” Lynch says.
Maybe the best part is when Lynch equips himself with a stick with a knife at the end of it before realizing he’ll be using it on a hog that’s bigger than he expects.
The episode appears worth watching in its entirety.
