Few schools over the years have pumped out as many NBA players as the Arizona Wildcats.
What’s a modern-day way to measure the Wildcats’ impact on the league? They’ve got an alumni base strong enough to be included in the NBA 2K17 video game’s All-Time College teams list, as revealed by screenshots posted to Operation Sports.
The game released an expansion of 10 college teams that added to the NBA’s flavor.
The list of Arizona basketball players that made the cut is impressive. Mike Bibby, Damon Stoudamire, Sean Elliott, Derrick Williams and Channing Frye are the starters on the roster, while the bench includes NBA champions in Steve Kerr, Richard Jefferson and NBA Finals MVP Andre Iguodala.
It says as much that several NBA players missed the cut.
Current NBA players like Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, Stanley Johnson, Solomon Hill and T.J. McConnell aren’t on the video game roster, and neither are past players like Bob Elliott, Michael Dickerson, Jud Buechler, Gilbert Arenas and Anthony Cook.
That fails to mention impactful college players that didn’t make it big in the league: Miles Simon and Salim Stoudamire come to mind there.
