The Arizona Diamondbacks are reportedly in the middle of meeting with potential general managers to replace Dave Stewart, and one of them is said to be the man who helped run a division rival for nearly a decade.

Former Los Angeles Dodgers general manager Ned Colletti, 62, is one of the individuals reportedly on the shortlist for becoming Arizona’s general manager according to J.P. Hoornstra of the Southern California News Group.

Colletti is now the sixth name linked to the club’s open position.

The general manager for the Dodgers from 2005 to 2014, Colletti led the Dodgers to the playoffs in six of his nine seasons. He is still with the team as a senior advisor, but is not involved in the decision-making any longer.

Colletti was not shy in making big moves, making the big Adrian Gonzalez trade and signing Zack Greinke to his last contract before signing with the D-backs.

He’s also certainly had his boom-or-bust moves. He traded for Manny Ramriez as a rental in 2008, and the future Hall of Famer hit .396 in 53 games. He also signed Andruw Jones to a two-year deal worth over $35 million in 2007, however, and Jones proceeded to hit .158 in 75 games before being released a year later.
