GLENDALE, Ariz. — To be honest, Wednesday’s training camp practice was pretty uneventful. There were a handful of nice plays, but for the most part it seemed like nothing special.

Of Note

– Rookie receiver and offseason star John Brown left practice early with what appeared to be a right hamstring issue after running a reverse. He got stretched out by a trainer and then had his leg wrapped in ice, but after practice said, “I’m good” when I asked about his injury.

– Jay Feely had a solid day with his field goals, splitting the uprights on all eight of his attempts.

– Center Lyle Sendlein is not practicing due to a calf issue, but did help out with snapping the ball during 7-on-7 drills.

– Ryan Lindley got some work in during 11-on-11 drills. So far in camp, it had been rookie Logan Thomas getting those reps.

– Sam Acho got to work with the first team at outside linebacker in place of Alex Okafor. A nice UT vs. UT battle right there.

– Carson Palmer had a trio of touchdown passes during red zone work, throwing strikes to Larry Fitzgerald, John Carlson and Ted Ginn, Jr.

– Speaking of Ginn, for a guy who has a reputation for not having the best hands, he seems to catch everything thrown his way.

Stat of the Day

Last season Calais Campbell registered 58 total tackles and nine sacks. In the process, he became the first player in team history with at least 50 tackles and six or more sacks in five different seasons.

Quotes of the Day

“He’s one of those guys that’s humble and willing to keep proving people that he’s the best corner in the league. That’s exactly what he said. He came to the locker room after he signed (and) you couldn’t even tell that he signed for that much money because he’s just like, ‘I’m just ready to go to work.’ That’s the type of attitude he has and it’s how he’ll be. He’ll definitely be a future Hall of Famer.” – Darnell Dockett on Patrick Peterson post-contract extension

“This is every year and this is going to be every year in my career, so it’s nothing new for me. You never know what can happen — it’s a long season. You know, last year at this time I didn’t think I’d be starting for the Arizona Cardinals. So you never know, you’ve just got to keep fighting and see what happens.” – Tackle Bradley Sowell on having to fight for his job the season after being the team’s starting left tackle
