The Maui Invitational announced Arizona and seven others will be in its 2018 tournament field.
The tournament will feature Arizona, Auburn, Duke, Gonzaga, Illinois, Iowa State, San Diego State and Xavier. It’s the most Division I programs in the tournament’s 35-year history.
“Our fields always showcase the best in college basketball, and 2018 will be as strong as we’ve ever had.” said Dave Odom, Maui Jim Maui Invitational Tournament Chairman, in a press release.
The games at Maui’s famed Lahaina Civic Center will be aired on ESPN during Nov. 19-21.
The trip to Maui will be the seventh appearance in the tournament for the Wildcats. Arizona won the invitation in 2014 and in 2000 against San Diego State and Illinois, respectively.
