Thursday Night Football features custom cleats (finally), Vikings color rush uniforms

The NFL’s Week 13 allowance of custom cleats, so long as they support a cause, is already turning out to be a good idea.
There were a flood of players wearing beautifully-designed footwear for the Minnesota-Dallas game on Thursday. Promoting support for causes like anti-animal cruelty groups, cystic fibrosis research and more, perhaps the NFL should think about making this a weekly thing.

More rush of color
This week’s NFL color rush uniform combination comes courtesy of the very purple Minnesota Vikings.
Matte purple helmets, bright pants and just as eye-popping jerseys are highlighted even more with highlighter yellow trim and lettering. And if you put it all under blacklights, it looks like a good ‘ol rave.

Meanwhile, the Dallas Cowboys’ rush of color was … a little bland.
