A look at new ASU quarterback Blake Barnett’s workout regimen

Former Alabama quarterback Blake Barnett has announced where he’ll continue his college football career in 2017, and he made a lot of people in the Grand Canyon State happy in the process.
Barnett verbally committed to Arizona State during an in-home visit from head coach Todd Graham and his staff Monday evening.
The former five-star recruit out of Santiago High in Corona, Calif. will have to sit out the first four games of the 2017 season, but will be eligible for most of the Pac-12 slate of games should he win the job.
His college statistics are scarce. Barnett won Alabama’s quarterback job in the fall and started the Crimson Tide’s season-opening win over USC. He was replaced by true freshman Jalen Hurts on Alabama’s third series. Hurts excelled and kept the job and Barnett decided to transfer. In parts of three games, Barnett completed 11-of-19 passes for 219 yards and two touchdowns.
A lot of what Barnett offers and how he fits in at Arizona State remains to be seen, but the Sun Devils are getting a very conditioned athlete. Barnett released a video in November highlighting the workout regimen he followed while in the transfer recruiting process.
