It would have been beneficial for the undersized Arizona State Sun Devils to find themselves a few transition buckets Tuesday against Purdue. They weren’t going to have it easy operating in the halfcourt with the Boilermakers’ 7-foot-2 Isaac Haas and 6-foot-9 Caleb Swanigan waiting for them.
No need to tell Obinna Oleka twice.
The ASU power forward apparently got the memo when he ran the court early on at the Jimmy V Classic and received the lob pass from point guard Shannon Evans. Despite some Boilermaker putting forth his best mannequin challenge at an improper time, Oleka caught the pass at the top of the square and slammed it home.
Analyst Jay Bilas, who admitted the pass looked a little bit high, called the dunk by Oleka one of the best of the season.
Here are another few angles of the lob and the dunk.

Somebody from Purdue probably should have told their teammate to get out of the way. Instead, he finds himself on an Oleka poster.
