The Arizona Wildcats, if nothing else, should be able to score some points this season.
Seniors Nick Foles and Juron Criner were both named to the Maxwell Award list.
Named for sportswriter Robert W. “Tiny” Maxwell, the award has been given to America’s most outstanding college football player, as voted on by the club’s selection committee, since 1937.
A quarterback, Foles has thrown for 39 touchdowns over the last two seasons, while the receiver Criner has caught 127 passes and 20 touchdowns over a two-season span.
Nine other Pac-12 players are on the list, including USC’s Matt Barkley and Stanford’s Andrew Luck.
