With safety Tyrann Mathieu placed on injured reserve earlier, the Arizona Cardinals had but two question marks heading into their Week 16 visit to Seattle: wide receiver John Brown and cornerback Brandon Williams.

The answer: both will play.

Brown, as he has for some time now, is dealing with hamstring tightness as a result of having the sickle-cell trait. He was limited all week in practice.

Williams missed practice Thursday and was limited Friday because of a back issue. He’s expected to make his first start since Sept. 18 against Tampa Bay and third overall this season.

The Cardinals’ seven inactives are wide receiver Marquis Bundy, cornerback Marcus Cooper, quarterback Zac Dysert, tackle D.J. Humphries, plus defensive tackles Olsen Pierre, Ed Stinson and Xavier Williams.

Cooper (back/calf) and Humphries (concussion) had already been ruled out. It’s the second straight game Humphries will miss.

Cornerback Harlan Miller and safety Trevon Hartfield, promoted this week from the practice squad, are active.

For the Seahawks, running back C.J. Prosise (shoulder) is out due to injury.

The others not in uniform for Seattle are defensive tackle John Jenkins, running back J.D. McKissic, linebacker Ronald Powell, safety Tyvis Powell, tackle Bradley Sowell, the one-time Cardinal, and tight end Nick Vannett.

Defensive tackle Michael Bennett is good to go despite a neck problem that kept him off the practice field on Wednesday.

The Cardinals have won in two of their last three trips to the Pacific Northwest, including a year ago, a 39-32 victory.

“Protecting the football, running the football, and we’ve made some big plays — gotten the lead or hung right there,” head coach Bruce Arians said, referring to the keys to winning at CenturyLink Field. “We had the big lead last year and lost it. That’s what made it so special about come back, especially at that place. That’s usually the key.”
