Former Arizona Cardinals receiver Michael Floyd made his debut with the New England Patriots on Saturday, catching one pass for six yards.

The Patriots used a 41-3 blowout against the New York Jets to acclimate the wide receiver to the offense. He played sparingly to start but found most of his action in the second half.

Floyd, who was cut by the Cardinals days after a Dec. 12 DUI arrest, took 18 total snaps. He made his only catch on a pass from backup quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo on Floyd’s 17th play with 5:30 left in the fourth quarter, according to ESPN Patriots reporter Mike Reiss.

New England had Floyd inactive in his first opportunity to play last week. That day, Arizona president Michael Bidwill said the team chose to cut the receiver because he showed no remorse for the arrest.

Police said Floyd recorded a BAC of 0.21.

Floyd was arrested after police found him asleep at the wheel at an intersection in Scottsdale. He was charged with two counts of DUI, one count of obstructing a roadway and one count for failing to obey an officer.

Floyd, who was to become a free agent after this year, caught 33 passes for 446 yards and four touchdowns for the Cardinals this season.
