The Wildcats opened the college football weekend with a thrilling upset of No. 2 Oregon in Eugene on Thursday night.
Arizona ran all over the Ducks, rushing for 208 yards and three touchdowns. Nick Wilson had 7.1 yards per carry on 13 carries, including a pair of touchdowns.
Running back Terris Jones-Grigsby was Arizona’s leading rusher and receiver with 115 yards on the ground (and a score) and four catches for 95 yards.
Despite the strong showing in the ground game, the Wildcats beat Oregon with defense. They held Oregon to its lowest point total (24) and yardage total (446) of the season.
The Wildcats are undefeated at 5-0 and sit atop the Pac-12 South Division standings. Their win was impressive enough to move them from unranked in the AP Poll last week to a top 10 team this week.
One of the teams they passed on their way up the rankings was the Ducks, who fell all the way to No. 12.
Arizona hosts USC on Saturday, looking to remain perfect.
