The Arizona Cardinals announced they have re-signed seven players to futures contracts for the 2017 season.

Brought back are running back Elijhaa Penny, cornerback Ronald Zamort, center/guard Daniel Munyer, guard Kaleb Johnson, receivers Chris Hubert and Marvin Hall, and linebacker Cap Capi.

Each of the seven players was on the Cardinals’ practice squad this past season, and on Monday, Cardinals coach Bruce Arians talked about Penny.

“That’s another one I can’t wait to see, because he became a pretty good special teams player and could fill a role as a big back,” he said. “He’s got good hands. He’s done a great job on our scout team all year, so he’s got a real good future.”
