It didn’t take long for MoMo Jones to find a new home.
The former Arizona guard, who announced he was transferring from the school earlier in the week, will be playing for St. John’s, according to the New York Post.
The Post also learned that Arizona guard Lamont “MoMo” Jones of Harlem, will transfer to St. John’s and could be eligible to play this upcoming season under NCAA hardship rules.
Jones, who started for the Wildcats his sophomore season, averaged 9.7 points and 2.4 assists per game for the team as they reached the NCAA Tournament’s Elite Eight.
His decision to transfer seems to have come as somewhat of a surprise, but family issues as well as a possible decrease in playing time likely led to the decision.
