David Johnson up for FedEx Ground NFL Player of the Year

Now that the regular season has come to an end, the time for awards to be handed out is at hand.
That means David Johnson’s name is likely to come up quite a bit.
The Arizona Cardinals’ running back who put together a historic season is up for many honors, including the FedEx Ground NFL Player of the Year.
That award, which will be given out at the NFL Honors show in Houston on Feb. 4, has him pitted against Dallas’ Ezekiel Elliott and Pittsburgh’s Le’Veon Bell.
Any fan who wishes to cast a vote for can do so by checking out nfl.com/fedex or by tweeting @FedEx with the hashtag #AirandGround along with their nominee’s last name.
As part of the award, FedEx will donate $50,000 to the USO in the winner’s name.
Johnson led the NFL in yards from scrimmage, with 2,118, and touchdowns, with 20. He tallied at least 100 yards from scrimmage in 15 straight games to start the season before suffering a sprained MCL in the first quarter of Arizona’s 44-6 win over the L.A. Rams.
