Arizona Wildcats to unveil new uniform

Though they are not yet on par with Oregon when it comes
to uniform combinations, the Arizona Wildcats men’s
basketball team will don its seventh different uniform
over the past two seasons next month when they host the
UCLA Bruins on February 25.
The Wildcats will wear the uniform just once this season.
Arizona is one of nine teams that will wear Nike’s new
“Hyper Elite Platinum” uniforms, which is made from
material that is five percent lighter than the previous
version.
According to a Nike press release:
“Nike created the uniforms specifically for superior
performance and lower environmental impact. The fabric of
the Nike Hyper Elite Platinum shorts are made from 100
percent recycled polyester while the jersey fabric is made
from at least 96% recycled polyester. Both short and
jersey are tailored for the optimal efficiency of movement
and are five percent lighter than the previous Nike Hyper
Elite uniform. Featuring laser-cut bonded logos, a sharp
platinum design as well as prominent accent colors, the
Nike Hyper Elite Platinum uniforms are sure to shine on
the court.
Other teams who will wear the new duds are Duke, Florida,
Kentucky, Syracuse, Connecticut (men’s and women’s), North
Carolina and the Baylor women.
Coincidentally (or maybe not), Arizona debuted its current
look at home against UCLA last season.
