Cardinals have flashbacks after Aaron Rodgers completes another last-second Hail Mary

The Arizona Cardinals have seen this before.

A year after Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers completed a last-second Hail Mary touchdown pass against the Arizona Cardinals to tie the game and go to overtime in the NFC Divisional Playoff round, he’s done it again against the New York Giants in the NFC Wild Card round this year.

While the game was not on the line with this throw like it was in Glendale, Rodgers secured an eight-point lead for his team at halftime by throwing a 42-yard touchdown to receiver Randall Cobb as time expired in the second quarter.

A combination of a well-timed push by Cobb and no one on the Giants within range of the ball jumping up for a deflection somehow left the ball to fall into Cobb’s hands, barely even requiring Cobb to jump to catch the ball with four different defenders around him.

The Cardinals had flashbacks, of course, to Rodgers’ throw in last year’s playoffs.
