Thomsen was with the Sun Devils for four seasons, although his exact role was never defined. He leaves for TCU after one of its co-offensive coordinators left for Kansas.
According to the Sun Devil source, Thomsen is the second Sun Devil assistant to leave the program this week, as tight ends coach Del Alexander accepted a position coaching wide receivers at Notre Dame.
Graham lost five assistant coaches after the 2015 season and will have at least three new coaches on staff in 2017.
The only coach remaining from Todd Graham’s 2014 staff is Keith Patterson. He’s had to replace all other position coaches
