Report reveals former Arizona Wildcats are among the NBA’s best paid

Jan 19, 2015, 6:41 PM | Updated: 7:24 pm

The Arizona Wildcats moved up to No. 7 in the new Associated Press poll and USA TODAY Coaches poll following Saturday’s win over then-No. 8 Utah.

A group of former Arizona Wildcats are similarly ranked — they’re No. 6 among all NCAA schools for NBA salaries in the 2014-15 season, according to a HoopsHype report.

The report says former UA players will make nearly $58 million combined this season. Only players from five other schools, including Pac-12 rival UCLA, are set to make more.

Former Wildcat forward Andre Iguodala leads the way with a salary of over $12 million this season. Forward Jordan Hill is set to make $9 million, and former Phoenix Suns center Channing Frye will make about $8.6 million.

Kentucky is No. 1 on the list, as its former student-athletes will make over $105 million this season. UCLA, Florida, Duke and Texas round out the top five.
