Arizona Wildcats move up in AP, coaches’ polls after back-to-back wins

After a disappointing loss at Oregon State over a week ago, the Arizona Wildcats returned home and atoned with a pair of victories, including a win over then-No. 8 Utah on Saturday.
Voters took notice, bumping UA up to No. 7 in the Associated Press and USA TODAY polls released Monday.
The Wildcats (16-2, 4-1 Pac-12), who routed Colorado on Thursday before thumping the Utes 69-51 on Saturday, were ranked No. 10 in the AP poll and No. 9 in the coaches’ poll last week.
The Utes fell out of the top-10 in both polls, dropping to No. 12 in the AP poll and No. 11 in the coaches’ poll.
UA and Utah are the only Pac-12 teams ranked in the AP top-25; Stanford came in at No. 25 in the coaches’ poll. The Wildcats will hit the road to face Stanford on Thursday and Cal on Saturday.
Kentucky held steady at No. 1 in both polls.
