Houston Rockets guard James Harden wasn’t quite finished after posting a 38-6-8 line in a 111-92 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday night.
Once the game ended, the former Sun Devil made one fan’s day even better by giving her the game ball on her 100th birthday.
The game telecast shows Harden bringing the ball to her courtside seat and posing for a picture with the birthday girl. He also inked his signature on the ball before gifting it away.
In a postgame interview, Harden told ESPN’s Doris Burke he told the woman how “blessed” he was to meet her.
Harden, who played for Arizona State from 2007-2009, has been the gift that keeps on giving for the Rockets and is one of the main reasons Houston is having a bounce-back season.
The 27-year-old has led the Rockets to a 33-12 record, which puts the team at the third spot in the NBA Western Conference.
Right now, Harden is averaging close to a triple-double, with 28.9 points, 8.3 rebounds and a league-high 11.6 assists per game. Some even think that the former ASU standout should be the league MVP.
