NEW YORK (AP) — Brook Lopez scored 22 points, Jarrett Jack made a clutch 3-pointer with 13.8 seconds left and the Brooklyn Nets beat the New York Knicks 92-88 on Friday night.

The Nets secured the city series by beating the Knicks for the third time in three meetings this season, clinching the series for the first time since sweeping all four games in 2006-07.

Lopez had nine rebounds and Jack finished with 20 points and eight assists for the Nets, who led by 17 in the first half before the Knicks chased them down with a big third quarter.

Brooklyn won its third straight to open February, matching its win total for all of January in 15 games.
