Big Red Wolf Report: After the Kansas City Chiefs, before the St. Louis Rams

The Arizona Cardinals are 10-3 and are on the road this week in St. Louis for a divisional showdown against the Rams on Thursday Night Football. Coming off a big win against the Kansas City Chiefs, the Cardinals need to keep things simple because of the quick turnaround.

In last week’s report, I pointed to Todd Bowles and his defense as the keys to beating Kansas City. That unit showed up big against the Chiefs and will need to do the same against the Rams and their multiple offensive weapons.

Breakout star Kerwynn Williams will need to keep up the pace Thursday to help elevate the Cardinals’ running game.

Lastly, Drew Stanton needs protection against a stout Rams’ defensive front. The Cardinals allowed two sacks last week and will need to watch out for Chris Long and Robert Quinn on the edge.
