The NBA accidentally called Drew Eubanks a Phoenix Sun in a happy birthday post on X Saturday.
The post has since been deleted but that didn’t stop users on X from posting about the mistake:
I didn’t know Drew Eubanks was still on the Suns, when did this happen? https://t.co/2PvksP5lTB

Lmao the NBA wished Drew Eubanks happy birthday and said he was on the Suns, then they deleted it. Further evidence the people running the league don’t know what they’re doing.

Drew Eubanks is currently on the Jazz btw, the official NBA account doesn’t even know which team the players play for 💀 https://t.co/krykmYJ2OO

Eubanks played one season with the Suns where he averaged 5.1 points and 4.3 rebounds per game. Following the season, Eubanks turned down a $2.7 million option to return to Phoenix and signed a two-year deal with the Utah Jazz.
Eubanks traded to Los Angeles Clippers
On the same day as the deleted X post, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported that Eubanks was traded from the Jazz to the Clippers along with Patty Mills for former Suns forward PJ Tucker, Mo Bamba, a future second-round pick and cash.
The Jazz had a posted happy birthday post to Eubanks on X prior to the news of the trade.
Several X users posted their reactions to the news of Eubanks being traded on his birthday.
