Arizona Cardinals radio voice Dave Pasch wins bet with Trail Blazers’ Damian Lillard

The Arizona Cardinals weren’t the only ones praying on a comeback win Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders.
Cardinals radio play-by-play broadcaster Dave Pasch placed a friendly wager with Portland Trail Blazers star point guard Damian Lillard.

Lillard, who is a Raiders fan, would have to wear a Kyler Murray jersey in the tunnel before a Blazers game if the Cardinals won. However, Pasch’s punishment wouldn’t be as innocent.
“You have to take a picture with the ‘Raider Nation’ face painting … black hole style,” Lillard told Pasch on The Dave Pasch Podcast. “You’ve got to put it on social media.”
Through one half of football, things looked as though they’d go Lillard’s way. The Raiders controlled the first half, and led 20-0 through 30 minutes. Even after the Cardinals opened the second-half scoring with a Greg Dortch touchdown, they trailed Las Vegas 23-7 with less than nine minutes left in regulation.
Then, Kyler Murray made the play of the early stages of the season.

According to Next Gen Stats, Murray traveled 84.9 yards on this two-yard two-point conversion. Regardless of the result, that was the highlight of the game. However, Murray added more to his reel — including the game-tying two-point attempt with no time on the clock.

The Cardinals went on to win the game on a scoop-and-score by Byron Murphy in overtime. The final was 29-23.
