You’ve heard of the kiss cam. How about using social media to broadcast a date to an entire Twitter audience?
After Twitch streamer Connor Buckley tweeted at the Arizona Diamondbacks that his roommate was on a date at Chase Field during the game against the Colorado Rockies on Saturday, the D-backs’ social media team made sure to do all they could to embarrass — I mean, help the pair make a connection.
Hey @Dbacks my roommate is on a date 6 rows above home plate. Any chance we could tell the camera man to zoom out a bit so I can see how it’s going???

The D-backs social media team pulled their broadcast partners at Bally Sports Arizona into the mix. The bad news was: The friend wasn’t sitting in the spot Buckley had indicated.

So he got proper coordinates and tweeted a screenshot of their location on the Chase Field seating chart.
That did the trick.

How was it going?
Body language looks good – they seem comfortable. They just laughed too. Stay tuned for more…

At this point, the couple at the game must have got wind that something was going on, because Buckley tweeted a screenshot of a text from his friend laughing and directing a cuss word at him in a friendly manner.
But the D-backs weren’t done. By this point, the mission had expanded beyond the social team and over to the in-game entertainment crew.

At this point, there was nothing left to do but go say hi to the pair, who it turns out was on a second date.
How can you not be romantic about baseball? An unforgettable 2nd date with the #Dbacks and @BuckArmy. ❤️https://t.co/mf3eaNNyln

For those waiting with anticipation, it has been confirmed: There will be a third date.
But it might be best to aim for a little inconspicuousness with friends like this.
Mission accomplished. 🤝❤️ https://t.co/NpeQRsZmTU pic.twitter.com/VR9bgUAC5L
