In his first MLB All-Star appearance, Arizona Diamondbacks third basemen Eduardo Escobar made the most out of his only at-bat.
At the top of the 7th inning of the MLB All-Star game in Colorado, the D-backs third basemen replaced Padres infielder Manny Machado at third.

After the National League team got out of the inning, Escobar was due to hit second in the eighth.
The NL was trailing 5-2 to begin the bottom half of the inning.
Dodgers third basemen Justin Turner reached first base safely after a blooper to center field.
Escobar then smacked a ball to center on a full count to put runners on first and second for the National League.

The NL was gaining some momentum as they loaded the bases after Washington Nationals outfielder Juan Soto drew a walk.
Cubs’ third basemen Kris Bryant then stepped into the batter box representing the go-ahead run at the plate.
However, Bryant would line out to end the eighth inning.
The American League would go on win their eighth straight All-Star game, 5-2.
